Sicilian Lemon and Dill Chef’s Salad

Ingredients

  • Butter Lettuce washed and pulled into bite size pieces
  • Balsamic Pickled Eggs
  • Pickled beets and onions from egg recipe quartered
  • Cooked bacon or Candied Bacon
  • Sharp Cheddar, Asiago, or Bleu Cheese (or all 3 if you’re feeling fancy)
  • Cucumbers (optional) diced
  • Ham (optional) thin strips
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional) halved

Directions

  1. Assemble salad however you choose! You’re the CHEF!
  2. Pictured above we start with lettuce, then layer with the pickled items, bacon and cheese. If adding more ingredients, it’s gorgeous to display the contrast of color assembling side by side and bring out multiple tongs so people can choose which ingredients they would prefer. You can always mix in a bowl afterwards.
  3. For dressing, mix two parts AOOC Wild Fernleaf Dill OO (2tbsp) to one part (1tbsp) AOOC Sicilian lemon White BV
  4. Add a sprinkle of Basiks Original Blend Seasoning from AOOC
  5. Dress and enjoy!
