Baklouti Mac & Cheese

Macaroni noodles
3 Tbsp AOOC Baklouti Green Chili Olive Oil
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
8 oz monterey jack cheese, shredded
2 tsp Basik’s Chili Lime Seasoning Blend
1 can diced green chiles, drained
Directions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil then add macaroni. Boil 7-10 minutes or until tender. Drain.
- While macaroni is cooking, prepare the cheese sauce- Add oil and flour to a saucepan and cook over medium heat while stirring for about 2 minutes.
- Whisk in milk and continue to whisk until milk begins to simmer and thicken.
- Turn off heat and begin stirring in the shredded Monterey Jack cheese one handful at a time, until fully melted into the sauce.
- Stir in drained can of green chiles and Chili Lime Seasoning. Taste and adjust or add other seasonings to your liking. (Make sure to extra season as some flavor will be diluted when you mix in pasta)
- Combine pasta and cheese sauce and serve!
