6 Ways to use AOOC Dark Chocolate Balsamic

1. Dark Chocolate Balsamic Popcorn

This sweet and salty treat puts a twist on your favorite classic movie snack. Heat 1 tablespoon AOOC Butter Olive Oil in a large pot on medium-high heat. Pour in 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels and cover with lid, leaving a tiny space open to vent. When finished popping remove from heat and pour into a large bowl. Bring balsamic vinegar to a boil over medium heat, then lower heat to a simmer for 2-4 minutes until it thickens. Drizzle over popcorn and toss to mix!

2. Berries with Dark Chocolate Balsamic

Chocolate Balsamic is the perfect topping for a delicious berry fruit salad! Toss together 2 1/2 cups of rinsed, mixed berries (we love strawberries, blackberries and blueberries). Break apart some large Italian Biscotti into smaller pieces and put into small bowls. Spoon berries into bowls on top of biscotti, drizzle with AOOC Dark Chocolate Balsamic and top with a dollop of Mascarpone cheese.

3. Chocolate Balsamic Reduction on Ice Cream

One of the easiest (and most delicious) ways to use Chocolate Balsamic is by reducing it down into a sweet syrup and drizzling over top of your favorite ice cream! (If you want to enjoy a delicious sweet treat without all the extra sugar and calories, this is a great way to add flavor to your healthy ice cream alternatives!)

4. Chocolate Balsamic Glazed Vegetables

I know, I know. This sounds crazy. But the sweetness of our Dark Chocolate Balsamic is the perfect compliment to your savory, roasted veggies! Mix together 1 lb carrots, 1 lb beets, 2 diced sweet potatoes, 2 tablespoons AOOC Olive Oil (we recommend Thyme Olive Oil or a mild EVOO) and a teaspoon of salt. Arrange on a baking sheet and roast 25-30 minutes, stirring every so often to ensure even baking. While vegetables roast, reduce Chocolate Balsamic over medium low heat. When vegetables are done, drizzle with Chocolate Balsamic glaze and toss to coat evenly. Don’t knock it before you try it!

5. Strawberry Shortcake with Chocolate Drizzle

What better way to top off a strawberry shortcake than with some chocolate! Reduce your Chocolate Balsamic down over medium low heat until thick. Assemble your strawberry shortcake with a slice of pound cake/angel food cake, strawberries and cool whip or whipped cream. Top with a drizzle of the balsamic reduction, and enjoy!

6. Dark Chocolate Barbecue Sauce

You NEED this recipe in your cookbooks! Perfect for ribs, pulled pork, or chicken, this barbecue sauce is one of a kind! Ingredients: 3/4 cup AOOC Dark Chocolate Balsamic, 3/4 cup Ketchup, 1/3 cup Brown Sugar, 3 cloves minced Garlic, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire, 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard, 2oz Dark Chocolate, 1/3 cup maple syrup, S&P to taste.
