Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped green chiles (optional, gives spice)
- 1 cup lime juice
- 3 ounces (2 shots) blackberry brandy
- 2 1/2 cups orange juice
- 3/4 cup good quality tequila
- 3 Tbs agave nectar (or more to taste)
- 2 Tbs AOOC Blackberry Ginger Dark Balsamic
- Coarse sea salt (or salt flakes) and chili powder for rim
- blackberries and lime wedges for garnish
Directions
- Place the lime juice, blackberries, and green chiles in a small bowl. Using a muddler or immersion blender, muddle/blend until fully combined. The smoother the better.
- Pour the blackberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer and remove the seeds.
- Pour the juice into a pitcher, followed by the blackberry brandy, orange juice, tequila, agave, and balsamic. Stir to fully combine.
- Combine sea salt and chili powder (equal parts) on a plate. Dip the rim of each glass in water or lime juice and then submerge in the salt/chili mixture.
- Fill each glass with ice and then pour in the margaritas. Garnish with blackberries and lime wedges. Enjoy!
