Pears are perfect this time of year, and this is an easy way to use up any that you have. It is also the simplest dessert besides balsamic on ice cream i think we’ve made all year!
Ingredients
- 4 pears of any variety, cored, peeled and sliced
- 3 Tbsp AOOC Butter OO
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk , almond or soy both work
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup all purpose or almond flour
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp AOOC Cranberry Pear Balsamic Reduction to drizzle over the top
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Cover a 9 inch round pan with a parchment paper round, or coat liberally with AOOC Butter OO
- Place all pear slices in the pan.
- Put the AOOC Butter OO, eggs, milk, salt, granulated sugar, flour and vanilla into a blender; process until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the pears. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the custard is golden and firm to the touch.
- Drizzle the top with your AOOC Cranberry Pear reduction
